Elisabeth's Bridal Shower

A few weekends ago I headed to Columbia, South Carolina to celebrate my oldest friend and her upcoming wedding.  Elisabeth and I met in gym class in sixth grade and spent the our middle school years cheering together, having sleepovers, and getting our parents to drop us off at "cool" places like Target and the mall.  We spent two years of high school together before Liz and her family moved to North Carolina (and then later to South Carolina).  We stayed in touch through high school and college and even though we don't see each other a ton, we just always pick up right where we left off.  We had promised each other fifteen years ago we'd be in each other's weddings and I love that sixth grade promise in gym class became a reality. :)

Okay, so back to the shower!  It was held at Liz's good friend's parent's house (did you get that?) in Columbia, where we chatted over champagne and good food before watching the bride-to-be open her gifts.  It was a great afternoon and I loved getting to hang out with some of Liz's favorite people.

The Future Mr. and Mrs. Meyer: Part 2

This past weekend we headed to Atlanta to celebrate our great friends Lindsay and Travis.  They are getting married June 23rd and to say I'm excited for these two is a gigantic understatement.  They're absolutely perfect for each other, and I just know they'll enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!

It was great to see lots of our college friends and Linds' high school friends...and of course celebrating the happy couple. Cheers to you, future Meyers.  38 days and counting!
