Last Wednesday Amy and I headed to Augusta to see Lady Antebellum on their "We Own the Night" tour, which was my awesome Christmas present from her. Thompson Square opened, and Lady A put on the best show! The boys in Lady A (Charles and Dave) are from Augusta, so seeing them play in their hometown made it extra special. We had floor level tickets and wiggled our way to the front of the stage (like we did for Carrie Underwood), so our view was uh-mazing. We even and touched Charles and Dave's hands, and I am so not ashamed to say we screamed like twelve-year old girls. ;)

Spring Thaw
This past weekend was one I look forward to every year... Spring Thaw! A bunch of people from Waynesboro put their boats in at Caroline's parent's river house and then the day is spent boating and hanging out at the sandbar... and maybe having a few cocktails. ;)
Caroline, me, and Amy

The best part about this year was that Gaines' best friend from college STU came!!!

BC Crash
I have been meaning to write a post about how excited I am that my students did so well on their CRCT tests. They were so proud of themselves! And remember how I mentioned that if they passed all 5 tests, they got a free trip to Six Flags? Over 550 students at our school earned the trip, and a majority of our team was able to go!
The sixth and seventh graders packed onto six buses early yesterday morning for a fun-filled day at Six Flags, but unfortunately, they didn't make it to the amusement park. The bus driver of the first bus (Ms. Anthony, who has subbed for our team numerous times) slammed on her brakes at a construction zone on I-20, and it caused the five buses behind her to crash.
THANKFULLY no one was seriously injured, but they airlifted Ms. Anthony to Grady Hospital in Atlanta and sent about 60 students to local hospitals with minor injuries, like cuts and bruises.
You can watch a news segment by clicking here, and the sweet little boy Isaiah who they interview is in my homeroom. He had reminded me about 100 times that he was going to Six Flags on his birthday, and my heart breaks for him and all the other kids who didn't get a chance to go. But again, I am so thankful they are all okay and cannot wait to give each of them a BIG hug tomorrow.

The Future Mr. and Mrs. Meyer: Part 2
This past weekend we headed to Atlanta to celebrate our great friends Lindsay and Travis. They are getting married June 23rd and to say I'm excited for these two is a gigantic understatement. They're absolutely perfect for each other, and I just know they'll enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
I love my twinny!!
...and your dad in the background of that picture. ;)
It was great to see lots of our college friends and Linds' high school friends...and of course celebrating the happy couple. Cheers to you, future Meyers. 38 days and counting!

Molly's Favorite Things
In the past week we've pretty much learned how Mollygirl likes spending her time. She's got a wide variety of favorite things to do during the day. For instance, she loves...
chillin'...
sleeping...
eating...
learning to climb stairs...
cuddling with her daddy...
walking in the backyard with her mommy...
mastering stair climbing...
playing 'til she's tired...
cuddling with her daddy again...
(after we gave her a bath, which is definitely not on her list of favorite things)
fetching her little tennis ball...
chewing on her squirrel...
getting her belly rubbed...
modeling by herself...
modeling with her squirrel, ducky, and rope...
learning to walk on a leash...
being absolutely adorable...
riding in the car...
and playing at the park with her mom and dad...
That seems like the life, right? ;)
