Our First Anniversary

Since we've been busy on the weekends and are both working this week, we decided to celebrate our first year of marriage close to home.  After work on Monday we exchanged cards and gifts... Gaines got me a matching wedding band for the other side of my engagement ring (!!!!!), and I made him do a scavenger hunt around the house, where he collected little gifts along the way.  Then, we went to the River Walk in Augusta and ate at Augustino's, which was a great Italian Steakhouse.  We came home, popped champagne, and ate our cake... which was surprisingly amazing! So amazing that I may or may not have had two pieces and given Molly a little bit to try. ;)

 

I can't wait to see what fun adventures Year Two brings!!

Our First Anniversary :)

I cannot believe I was lucky enough to marry my best friend and became a wife ONE YEAR ago today!!! 

At random times this past week, Gaines and I kept saying, "Aw, this time last year we were doing this," or "Remember such and such."  It's been so much fun to relive those special moments that I hope I never, ever forget. Since I hadn't created the blog this time last year, I wanted to post some pictures from the wedding, as well as few days before and a few days after.  Enjoy. ;)

I am truly blessed to be able to spend my life with someone who makes me so happy and who I fall in love with more and more each day.  This past year has been the best of my life, and I cannot wait for many, many more years together!
