Five on Friday

[one]

Labor Day weekend was one of those weekends I want to bottle up and relive over and over.  It was fun, but still relaxing and I loved that we got to spend time watching football and hanging out with our friends. On Saturday we headed over to Drew and Kristina's for the UGA/Clemson game (how amazing was that win??!) and then we took the boat to the Savannah River after church on Sunday with Jason, Caroline...and our little babies-on-the-way. ;)

[two]

We had a "Truth Be Told" paint party at our small group meeting a few weeks ago.  We all picked different colors and bible verses, and I thought everyone's canvas turned out so well!

[three]

A few weeks ago we went to Celebrity Waiter, which is a fun event our Downtown Organization puts on each year.  We went with a bunch of our friends and our tickets included dinner, dessert, free drinks, and a live band.  What a fun night!

[four]

A few weekends ago we headed to the Coast with Gaines' parents and Amy for a relaxing weekend on the water.  Amy recently adopted a puppy named Sophie, so we had SO much fun playing with her.  We went to the beach both days and cheered on our Bulldogs (who heartbreakingly lost to stupid USC...) on Saturday night.  The weather was so nice, and it was great to be on the water all weekend!

[five]

Cheerleading has sort of taken over my life lately, but I could not be more proud of my girls and their hard work.  Their stunting has come so far from last year (one of our groups has mastered an extension!), and they did such a great job cheering, stunting, and dancing at our first Pep Rally on Wednesday.

P.S. I am 17 weeks and the babe is growing and doing great!  We go back in a few weeks to finally find out the gender.  Eeeeek!!!

Happy Friday. :)

Albrecht Wedding

A few weeks ago Sarah and Patrick got married at Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina.  They have been dating since our junior year of high school, which was over twelve years ago!!  We ended up renting a beach house for the weekend and it would definitely be a place I would love to go back and visit.  On Friday night we headed to Poagie's Bar and Grille to met up with the bridal party, and I loved how it ended up being a mini-Godwin High School reunion.

On Saturday morning Allison and baby Palmer came over to visit.  It was the first time I had met him and oh my goodness, what a cutie!  He was so sweet and didn't seem to mind one bit that six girls were constantly gushing over him.  And then even though the weather wasn't great, we ended up heading to the beach for a few hours.  The guys played Beersby while the girls just sat and chatted... shocking, I know. ;)  And when we got back to the house to get ready Adrian surprised the September birthdays while a sweet cake.

The wedding was so beautiful and was held right on the beach.  Sarah looked absolutely amazing (in her mom's veil!) and Pat was so sweet when he first saw her.  The reception followed at The Isles restaurant, which had a great outdoor bar and a big room for dancing.  As always, we spent the night catching up, eating, and dancing, and I was SO sad when it finally ended.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Albrecht!! It's about time. ;)

Wilson Wedding

The beginning of September we headed to St. Louis for the wedding of our good friends Trace and Kate.  We had never been to St. Louis before and were really excited to check it out with some of our college friends.

Trace and Taylor (Kate's brother) picked a bunch of us up from the airport and took us to a fun hole-in-the wall place for lunch.  We all wanted to check out some of the key spots around town, so our "tourguides" took us by Busch Stadium, where the Cardinals play.  From there we walked to the Arch, which really is impressive up close.  We paid $10 to hop in a tiny pod, which took us 630 feet up to the top of the Arch.  We were a little surprised at how narrow it was up there, but the views were really neat!

The rehearsal dinner was held at Bar Napoli, which had really good food and a good atmosphere.  Tons of people shared stories about Trace and Kate, and it was great to see his family again and meet hers.  We all headed out to a bar afterwards before calling it a night.

The wedding was held at 2 at Annunziata Catholic Church, and I know I'm a little biased, but the groomsmen looked very handsome. ;)  Not to mention, Kate looked stunning! I rode around in the trolley with the bridal party as they took pictures before the reception and just loved getting to know Kate's friends more and catching up with Gaines' college buddies (and their sweet girlfriends and wives!).

The reception was held at the St. Louis Club and was absolutely gorgeous. Kate put so much thought and planning into the details and everything just turned out so well.  I know I say it about every wedding we go to, but we seriously had the best time celebrating and dancing.  It was such a fun night!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Wilson!! We love y'all!
