Trip to D.C. [Part 2]

A few months ago my good friend Jen, also known as "Schniz," and her fiance called and invited us to D.C. for the weekend.  They just got engaged and we figured, "What better reason than to go visit them and see the Borges family, too?"  We had so much fun the last time we went to D.C., so we booked non-stop flights and were on our way!  

Schniz and Chris picked us up from the airport and took us back to their adroable one-bedroom apartment in Arlington for a drink in celebration of their wedding taking place exactly one year from that night.  We then went to a few bars, including Schniz's favorite "dive bar." ;)  We ended the night at a local pizza place...where we walked in the back door, greeted "mama," and picked up the best pizza I've ever had. 

The next morning Schniz made us an amazing breakfast and we got ready before heading over to Matt and Demetria's townhouse in Fairfax, where we spent the first hour on the floor playing/staring/laughing/singing with baby Charlie.  I know I'm biased, but I seriously think she is the cutest and most advanced 8 and 1/2 month old I've ever hung out with. 

After her nap we decided to take her to her first bowling alley, where we made up silly names for each other, loved on Char, and took the most random pictures that caused us to laugh so hard my stomach hurt. 

We went back to Matt and Dems', where Adrian met up with us, and just hung out the rest of the night.  There's just nothing better than spending time with some of your best friends that have known you for over ten years. ;) 

The next morning Schniz, Chris, Gaines, and I drove back to Arlington and celebrated Easter with baskets that the Easter bunny Schniz had gotten us and an amazing brunch at The Boulevard.  After shopping and hanging out (and napping if you were one of the boys) for a little while longer, we hopped on our flight back to Georgia.
