Five on Friday

Gaines' Uncle Charlie has two pet squirrels (!!), and he brought one of them over to Mother's Day brunch a few weekends ago.  It would run up in the trees, collect leaves in his grandma's birdhouse, and then come right to you when you put your hand out.  It was too funny! 

And this is what Molly looked like when we told her we were bringing one home...

We have a plum tree in our backyard, and it has produced so many plums this year! They are actually really good, and its fun to go out and pick them.

And speaking of the house, when I was home during Memorial Day weekend my mom let me take back her fake window box flowers. I love our window boxes and I love real flowers, but the crazy heat in the summer my lack of gardening skills pretty much guarantees they are going to die.  So I love this alternative!

And while we were in Virginia I also accidentally left my wedding rings in the bathroom while I was getting ready.  Thankfully, my mom mailed them right back to me, but in the mean time Gaines decided to upgrade my ring to something a little bigger.... and sweeter. ;)

Last week one of my co-workers had a bunch of BCMS folks over to her house for a Wine and Canvas party, which was lead by our art teacher.  We had the best time (I was there for almost five hours!), and I really loved how everyone's paintings turned out.  I already had the two mini canvases at home, so I figured I would keep one at home and take one back to work in the fall.
